In the morning, we will transfer from Entebbe or downtown Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Spend a few hours enjoying the sighting of the White rhinos after we proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Dinner and overnight at a midrange lodge in Murchison Falls National Park.
In the morning, you will go for a game drive in the park to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, you will take a relaxing boat trip on the River Nile, and here you will have a chance to see crocodiles, hippos, and a range of rare birds. You will also see for yourself the point where the River Nile joins Lake Albert, one of the “major highlights” of this trip.
Dinner & overnight at a midrange lodge at Murchison Falls National Park
After early morning breakfast, we will visit the top of Murchison Falls where you have spectacular views of Murchison Falls along the Nile River. We will then start the drive to Kibale National Park. The drive to Kibale National Park will go through western Uganda's major cities, including Hoima, Kyenjojo, and Fort Portal. There will be a scheduled stopover for lunch along the way. You will head to the Kibale forest immediately after breakfast to trek the chimpanzees in their forest home. If you are lucky on the trek, you might encounter other different species of monkeys in the Kibale forest. These include colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. After the chimp trek, drive for 3hrs to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Kasenyi Plains game drive
You will start the day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, we proceed to the famed Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot various species of wild animals. Kasenyi plains dwell in the vast savannahs of the Albertine rift in Queen Elizabeth National Park. It will be a morning full of adventure! Expect to encounter lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, topi, and bushbucks. While spotting the "Big Five" in the park is not guaranteed, on a lucky day, you may site leopards to make it the "Big Four."
Kazinga channel boat cruise
After lunch, join the Kazinga channel boat cruise for an afternoon of wild game viewing. You will spot crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and a wide range of bird species on the channel waters.
Dinner and overnight at Queen Elizabeth National Park
This is the day of driving to Bwindi National Park. You may start the morning with additional game drives at the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park or opt for the second chimp trek at Kalinzu Forest Reserve. Expect to arrive at Bwindi National Park in the late afternoon.
You will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation covering what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trekking, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Golden monkey trekking. Trek the Golden Monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This trip will take you to trek the golden monkeys, an endemic species of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwestern Uganda. You will enter the forest and walk through the bamboo vegetation and various indigenous plants like giant lobelia. Your national park guide will tell you about the national park's history and the fauna and flora that the park holds during the trip. The golden monkey trek should take about 5 hours. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner & overnight immediately after the golden monkey trek.
This is the day you will transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park. After arriving at Lake Bunyonyi, you will have an option to join an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo to sight wildlife. Alternatively, do a night game drive. Dinner & overnight at Lake Mburo National Park.
Early morning game drives at Lake Mburo National Park to spot wildlife not see at other parks (topi, zebras, and Impalas). Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe after the game drive. The drive from Lake Mburo NP to Kampala will go to the major towns of western/central Uganda. A quick stopover is planned at the Equator crossing near Masaka town. Dinner and overnight in Entebbe.
Start the day by trekking the elusive shoebill at the Mabamba swamp near Entebbe. Pickup from the Entebbe guest house will be at 7:00am. After the Mabamba swamp tour, we will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport and depart to the next destination.
